Nathan Freund

Chief Executive Officer

With nearly two decades of leadership experience in the skilled nursing industry, Aspire Health Group’s CEO, Nathan Freund, is dedicated to improving the quality of care in the portfolio of centers that became part of the Aspire family on September 1, 2023.  Founded on the principles of Customer Service and Clinical Excellence, he leverages his experience at the bedside to guide the organization’s people-first approach to serving Florida’s aging population throughout the state.

A compliance-focused operator, with an acute knowledge of the unique local market landscape, he was called upon earlier in his career by KDADS (Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services) and  tasked with improving clinical outcomes and overall quality of care in operationally challenged facilities. Nathan and his team successfully transitioned over 60 facilities in a 5-year period from distressed assets to successful and profitable skilled nursing enterprises with a reputation for clinical excellence.

Nathan began his career as a caregiver while in college at Thomas Edison State University, where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. He went on to leading facility maintenance, housekeeping, and dietary programs, which quickly led him to the role of Director of Compliance, and ultimately to Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA).

Nathan credits his experience at the bedside, and across nearly every function of skilled nursing center operations, to his success as a leader in the healthcare industry.

Ami Dagan

Chief Operating Officer

Amitai (Ami) Dagan joined Aspire Health Group as the Chief Operating Officer in July of 2023, a new venture that he and Aspire’s CEO, Nathan Freund, had dreamed about for over a decade. Ami began his journey in healthcare while a senior in high school. A volunteer at Maimonides Medical Center, where his mother has been a nurse for over 30 years, he worked in the Pediatric Psychology Unit, helping children struggling with eating disorders.

With a growing interest in the healthcare industry, specifically working with the aging adult population, Ami’s first role after graduating college was serving as a Community Liaison for an Assisted Living Facility in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY.

His passion for learning all aspects of the field led to roles such as Food Service Supervisor, Assistant Administrator, Director of Community Relations, and Regional Marketing Director, where he discovered his talent for building community partnerships and leading successful business development teams. During these formative years of his career, his accomplishments included becoming a Preferred Network Provider with local hospital systems and Accountable Care Organizations, building clinical programs, and starting the first Cardiac Rehab Program in collaboration with RWJ University Hospital while working at Bottom Line Marketing Group.

In February 2016, he accepted the Vice President of Sales and Marketing role at RegalCare, a newly formed company in Connecticut. Quickly establishing relationships with the local hospital partners, two of whom used his experience and guidance to build their first ACO programs, his portfolio evaluation and restructuring efforts led to increased revenue within two years, which led to growth in the Massachusetts market. One year later, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until joining Aspire Health Group.

Ami graduated from Yeshiva University, where he majored in Pre-Med and Psychology. He is married with four daughters and resides in Woodmere, NY. In his spare time, he is an avid runner scheduled to complete his 10th full Marathon in New York City in the fall of 2023, and he is also training for his first Ironman competition. A humanitarian at heart, Ami became a live kidney donor in October of 2022 to help a stranger in need.
